You are cities within you
Rev. Ayub’s words, “There are cities within you yet to be built,” got me thinking. Imagine yourself as a divine construction project. God, the ultimate Architect, has drafted a blueprint for your life, and it’s not just a single hut or bungalow—it’s a metropolis! Some of us are stuck in the foundation stage, content with a single-storey existence, while God is waiting for us to break ground on skyscrapers of purpose.
Consider Joseph: God envisioned him as a city of refuge, saving nations from famine. But before the palace came the pit and the prison—construction delays we might say. Or David, who was busy shepherding sheep while God was laying the groundwork for a kingdom.
What about you? Perhaps fear is holding back your city council meetings. Or procrastination is stalling the roadworks of discipline. The Apostle Paul reminds us in Philippians 1:6, “He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion.”
Cities aren’t built overnight, but they don’t build themselves either. Maybe it’s time to evict the squatters of doubt and laziness. God’s plan for you isn’t to remain a village of mediocrity but to flourish into a radiant, bustling city of His glory. So, hard hats on—construction starts today!
